Leather and Wool Care

FULL GRAIN LEATHER

Leather is an incredible material that takes on the natural oils of its environment and develops a beautiful patina over time. We recommend a few best practices for taking care of our full-grain leather products that can help preserve the natural beauty and durability of real leather for years to come.

1. Keep the leather clean by gently wiping it with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
2. To seal and protect the leather, you can use a leather balm or conditioner. Follow the instructions on the balm or conditioner to keep the leather supple and prevent it from drying out or cracking. Note that balms or conditioners can often darken the color of the leather, so try it on a less visible area first. These types of products can also help revive older, dried-out leather products and give them new life. 
3. Avoid exposing the leather to direct sunlight or excessive moisture for prolonged periods of time. 
4. If the leather gets wet, let it air dry naturally away from heat sources to prevent damage.

Wool fibers have a natural waxy coating that will temporarily resist stains from liquid spills. Gently spot clean liquid spills with a dry cloth once they occur, or use warm water on a cloth for tougher stains.
